In June, it <a href=\"https:\/\/coinjournal.net\/news\/metaplanet-doubles-down-on-bitcoin-eyes-additional-6-2-million-purchase\/\">purchased $6.2 million worth of Bitcoin<\/a>. This was followed by a <a href=\"https:\/\/coinjournal.net\/news\/metaplanet-loads-more-bitcoins-with-42466-btc-purchase\/\">$2.5 million purchase in July<\/a>, a <a href=\"https:\/\/coinjournal.net\/news\/japans-metaplanet-buys-7m-bitcoin-now-holds-to-40-5m-btc\/\">$7 million Bitcoin purchase in October<\/a>, and an additional <a href=\"https:\/\/coinjournal.net\/news\/metaplanet-to-buy-additional-11-7-million-bitcoin\/\">$11.7 million in November<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Its latest Bitcoin purchase was in late December <a href=\"https:\/\/coinjournal.net\/news\/metaplanet-buys-the-dip-with-620-btc\/\">totaling 620 Bitcoin for $60 million<\/a>. To date, Metaplanet currently holds 1,761.98. In comparison, <a href=\"https:\/\/coinjournal.net\/search\/microstrategy\">MicroStrategy<\/a> holds 447,470 Bitcoin with its <a href=\"https:\/\/coinjournal.net\/news\/microstrategy-adds-101m-bitcoin-to-holdings-now-at-447470-btc\/\">most recent purchase of $101 million<\/a> taking place at the end of December 2024.<\/p>\n<p>According to a December 23 <a href=\"https:\/\/contents.xj-storage.jp\/xcontents\/33500\/83ccb67f\/4ee2\/4f76\/a2c8\/dbeaed64901f\/140120241223542705.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">notice<\/a> from Metaplanet, it saw its Bitcoin yield reach nearly 310% between October 1, 2024 to December 23, 2024.
