So I think you can expect to see more availability, more announcements coming soon.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>When questioned how soon, Long responded with \u201cimminently.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ripple launched its <a href=\"https:\/\/coinjournal.net\/news\/ripple-to-launch-rlusd-stablecoin-on-december-17\/\">RLUSD stablecoin on December 17<\/a> on the Ethereum and XRP Ledger after <a href=\"https:\/\/coinjournal.net\/news\/ripple-secures-final-nydfs-approval-for-rlusd\/\">receiving regulatory approval<\/a> from the New York Department of Financial Services.<\/p>\n<p>At the time, Brad Garlinghouse, Ripple CEO, said: \u201cAs the US moves toward clearer regulations, we expect to see greater adoption of stablecoins like RLUSD, which offer real utility and are backed by years of trust and expertise in the industry.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>At present RLUSD is available on Archax, B2C2, Bitso, Bullish, Coinmena, Independent Reserve, JST Digital, Keyrock, Mercado Bitcoin, MoonPay, and Uphold. According to Ripple, RLUSD will soon be available on Bitstamp, Flowdesk, and Zero Hash.<\/p>\n<p>Ripple also <a href=\"https:\/\/coinjournal.net\/news\/ripple-and-chainlink-team-up-to-further-rlusd-adoption\/\">teamed up with Chainlink<\/a> on January 7 to bring its stablecoin to more users across the decentralized finance (DeFi) network.<\/p>\n<h2>An XRP ETF is coming<\/h2>\n<p>Turning their attention to the possibility of an XRP exchange-traded fund (ETF), Long said:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think we will see one very soon, you know, various crypto spot ETFs this year coming out of the US. I think XRP is likely to be next in line after Bitcoin and Ether.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In October, Garlinghouse said that an XRP ETF is \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/coinjournal.net\/news\/brad-garlinghouse-says-xrp-etf-inevitable\/\">inevitable<\/a>\u201d despite ongoing legal issues between the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and Ripple.
