Hashnote is popular for USYC, its Hashnote US Yield coin.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Circle announced today the acquisition of Hashnote and USYC Tokenized Money Market Fund.<\/p>\n<p>This strategic move, alongside a partnership with global trading firm DRW via <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CumberlandSays?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@CumberlandSays<\/a> and news that we\u2019re bringing native USDC to the <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CantonNetwork?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@CantonNetwork<\/a>, is set to redefine the landscape\u2026 <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/mB1nBr7x5F\">pic.twitter.com\/mB1nBr7x5F<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Circle (@circle) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/circle\/status\/1881728261056540731?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">January 21, 2025<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>According to a public statement on Circle\u2019s website, the stablecoin giant acquired Hashnote alongside a strategic partnership with DRW, a global trading firm.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCircle intends to fully integrate USYC with USDC, offering seamless access between TMMF collateral and USDC, one of the world\u2019s most popular stablecoins. This will enable USYC to emerge as a preferred form of yield-bearing collateral on crypto exchanges, and also with custodians and prime brokers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>About USYC<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>US Yield Coin is a tokenised representation of the Hashnote International Short Duration Yield Fund Ltd. (SDYF) which invests in reverse repurchase agreements on US government securities.<\/p>\n<p>It is the largest fund of its kind, with an AUM of $1.24 billion. USYC represents shares in the fund, which had an annual yield of 3.39% as of publication.<\/p>\n<p><strong>USDC and USYC integration<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Circle plans to integrate USDC and USYC to enable interconvertibility between both assets, allowing USYC to be used as preferred collateral on exchanges and brokers.<\/p>\n<p>According to Circle CEO, Jeremy Allaire, \u201cWe helped invent tokenized cash, and are now leading the way in tokenized money markets, both of which we believe will become essential to the future of the global financial system.
