Sacks, who will be leading the working group, said: \u201cwe\u2019re going to be forming an internal working group to make America the world capital under your leadership.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"LIVE: President Trump signs executive order in the Oval Office\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/EZi6eHKE4QU?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>If introduced, the working group will include the US Treasury secretary, attorney general, chairs of the SEC and Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), along with other agency heads.<\/p>\n<p>Part of the signed order reads: \u201cThe digital asset industry plays a crucial role in innovation and economic development in the United States, as well as our Nation\u2019s international leadership.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Some of its policies include providing regulatory clarity and protecting the US dollar through the development of lawful dollar-backed <a href=\"https:\/\/coinjournal.net\/search\/Stablecoins\">stablecoins<\/a> worldwide. The working group also seeks to prohibit \u201cthe establishment, issuance, circulation, and use of a [<a href=\"https:\/\/coinjournal.net\/search\/CBDC\">central bank digital currency<\/a>] within the jurisdiction of the United States.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Last week, Scott Bessent, Trump\u2019s pick for US Treasury secretary, said he sees \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/coinjournal.net\/news\/us-treasury-secretary-nominee-sees-no-reason-for-cbdc\/\">no reason<\/a>\u201d for the US to have a central bank digital currency (CBDC).
