aria-level=\"1\">Crypto.com received an in-principle earlier this month<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">The EU rolled out its MiCA regulations on December 20, 2024<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Crypto exchanges Crypto.com and OKX are the latest platforms to receive full licenses under the EU\u2019s Markets in Crypto Assets (MiCA) regulation.<\/p>\n<p>Both exchanges announced the news in separate posts published on January 27, 2025.<\/p>\n<p>In a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.okx.com\/learn\/our-mica-license\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">blog post<\/a>, Erald Ghoos, Europe CEO of <a href=\"https:\/\/coinjournal.net\/search\/OKX\">OKX<\/a>, said securing the MiCA license was a \u201cmajor milestone for OKX, a win for crypto in Europe, and a testament to the growth and mass adoption of the industry at scale.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ghoos continued by saying the platform can provide its crypto products and services to more than 400 million people across Europe through its crypto hub in Malta.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn the coming days, OKX will begin passporting its MiCA license from its Malta hub to all 30 EEA member states,\u201d Ghoos said.<\/p>\n<p>Passporting is part of the MiCA regulation that enables licensed and registered businesses to offer their services in another EU country under a unified regulatory framework.<\/p>\n<p>The news of OKX receiving a full license follows its announcement that it <a href=\"https:\/\/coinjournal.net\/news\/okx-receives-mica-pre-authorization-nod\/\">gained pre-authorization<\/a> as a Virtual Financial Assets (VFA) exchange under the European Union\u2019s MiCA regulation.<\/p>\n<h2>Title<\/h2>\n<p>Crypto.com announced via <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/cryptocom\/status\/1883839099242684733\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">X<\/a> href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/cryptocom\/status\/1883839099242684733?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">January 27, 2025<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Earlier this month, Crypto.com revealed that it had <a href=\"https:\/\/coinjournal.net\/news\/crypto-com-receives-in-principle-mica-licence\/\">received an in-principle MiCA license<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>At the time, Eric Anziani, president and COO of Crypto.com, said: \u201cWe have always been fully supportive of MiCA and strongly believe it will bring clarity, transparency, and establish a more streamlined sentiment towards the regulation of our industry across the EU, all of which adds to the growing confidence in the crypto sector.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Bitpanda also received a full MiCA license from German regulator BaFin today.<\/p>\n<p>Bitpanda, Crypto.com, and OKX join the likes of Boerse Stuttgart Digital, <a href=\"https:\/\/coinjournal.net\/news\/circle-becomes-first-stablecoin-issuer-to-secure-license-under-eus-mica-regulations\/\">Circle<\/a>, Coinbase, and <a href=\"https:\/\/coinjournal.net\/news\/tag\/moonpay\/\">MoonPay<\/a> are some of the crypto companies to have successfully secured MiCA approval ahead of the regulatory rollout of MiCA in the
