The $10 billion venture capital division of the biggest cryptocurrency exchange in the world, Binance, has changed dramatically. The revamped company, which is now known as YZi Labs, wants to stand out from the competition and expand beyond cryptocurrencies.<\/p>\n

Expanding Beyond Blockchain<\/h2>\n

In an official statement, Binance announced the rebranding of Binance Labs to YZi Labs, marking a shift toward independence and diversified investments. The new name reflects the firm\u2019s efforts to expand its focus to emerging sectors like Web3, artificial intelligence (AI), and biotechnology.<\/p>\n

Although barred from returning to Binance leadership after his four-month sentence for violating U.S. anti-money laundering laws, Zhao will mentor project founders and shape the firm\u2019s investment strategy.<\/p>\n
