It will allow for faster, cheaper and efficient cross-border payments between users in Portugal and Brazil.<\/p>\n<h2>Transforming cross-border payments in Latin America<\/h2>\n<p>Per a press release, <a href=\"https:\/\/coinjournal.net\/news\/tag\/ripple\/\">Ripple<\/a> said the partnership expands its footprint in Europe. However, more than that, it strengthens the company\u2019s impact on payments in the Portugal-Brazil corridor.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur partnership with Unic\u00e2mbio is a significant milestone in Ripple\u2019s European expansion. Portugal has developed a thriving crypto ecosystem so we are delighted to open up our payments solution to partners there,\u201d Cassie Craddock,Ripple\u2019s managing director of UK &amp; Europe, said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>Commenting on the latest partnership Unic\u00e2mbio.executive board member Adriana Jer\u00f3nimo said:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPortugal and Brazil share deep economic and cultural ties, with significant money flows between the two countries. By leveraging blockchain technology we\u2019re transforming money movement between the two nations.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Unic\u00e2mbio\u2019s corporate customers will leverage Ripple Payments for instant transfers and settlements.<\/p>\n<p>Ripple\u2019s traction in Brazil and the Latin America region includes partnerships with Travelex Bank and Mercado Bitcoin, a major Latin America crypto exchange provider.
