The agency is also planning to work with other agencies, including the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) to achieve its goal.<\/p>\n<h2>Not a free-for-all<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/coinjournal.net\/search\/Hester+Peirce\">Commissioner Peirce<\/a>, who\u2019s often described as \u201cCrypto Mom,\u201d said she referred to herself more as a \u201cfreedom maximalist\u201d rather than someone who\u2019s an advocate for the industry.<\/p>\n<p>When asked as a freedom maximalist if she believes the crypto industry should be regulated, Peirce said she was committed to using the existing statutory framework, adding that \u201cit doesn\u2019t mean a free-for-all all. It doesn\u2019t mean you get to do whatever you want.
