Two guys connected to a bitcoin scam scheme that caused a 75-year-old Aberdeenshire resident to suffer a large financial loss have been arrested by authorities. They were arrested on February 18, 2025, after the inquiry started in July 2024.<\/p>\n

The arrests were made in two separate locations by North East Division CID police officers with support from West Midlands and South Yorkshire Police. A 36-year-old suspect was arrested in Mexborough, while a 54-year-old suspect was arrested in Coventry. The Procurator Fiscal will receive a report from officials regarding the fraud charges against both men.<\/p>\n

Detective Sergeant David Williamson underscored the importance of taking action against financial crimes.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis operation demonstrates our commitment to ensuring people are protected from fraud. We will do everything in our power to bring those responsible to justice,\u201d<\/em> he stated.<\/p>\n

Public Urged to Stay Cautious<\/h2>\n

Authorities continue to warn individuals about the growing risks of financial scams, particularly in cryptocurrency-related investments. Williamson encouraged people to remain watchful and report suspicious activities.<\/p>\n
