Solana saw the biggest drop, 5% over 24 hours, and is currently trading at $142. Earlier this month, <a href=\"https:\/\/coinjournal.net\/search\/Donald+Trump\">Trump<\/a> revealed that these would be the <a href=\"https:\/\/coinjournal.net\/news\/trump-announces-cryptos-to-be-added-to-us-strategic-crypto-reserve\/\">coins included in the crypto reserve<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Notably, these coins weren\u2019t mentioned in Trump\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/coinjournal.net\/news\/president-trump-signs-executive-order-for-a-strategic-bitcoin-reserve\/\">executive order detailing a Strategic Bitcoin Reserve<\/a> and a Digital Asset Stockpile, which he signed on March 6.<\/p>\n<h2>A \u201ccompromise\u201d<\/h2>\n<p>In a post on <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/davidsacks47\/status\/1897802280738734236\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">X<\/a>, White House artificial intelligence (AI) and crypto czar <a href=\"https:\/\/coinjournal.net\/search\/David+Sacks\">David Sacks<\/a> said:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Reserve will be capitalized with Bitcoin owned by the federal government that was forfeited as part of criminal or civil asset forfeiture proceedings. This means it will not cost taxpayers a dime.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Just a few minutes ago, President Trump signed an Executive Order to establish a Strategic Bitcoin Reserve. <\/p>\n<p>The Reserve will be capitalized with Bitcoin owned by the federal government that was forfeited as part of criminal or civil asset forfeiture proceedings. This means it\u2026<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 David Sacks (@davidsacks47) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/davidsacks47\/status\/1897802280738734236?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">March 7, 2025<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Sacks also indicated that the executive order authorized the Secretaries of Treasury and Commerce \u201cto develop budget-neutral strategies for acquiring additional Bitcoin, provided that those strategies have no incremental costs on American taxpayers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In response, <a href=\"https:\/\/coinjournal.net\/search\/Michael+Saylor\">Michael Saylor<\/a>, chair and CEO of Strategy, <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/saylor\/status\/1897835477119492559\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a>: \u201cI have a few budget-neutral strategies for acquiring additional Bitcoin.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>With the news of the Strategic Bitcoin Reserve not pushing prices higher, TD Cowen analysts <a href=\"https:\/\/uk.investing.com\/news\/cryptocurrency-news\/bitcoin-price-today-sinks-as-low-as-84k-as-trump-reserve-underwhelms-3966105\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a> they considered this a positive move from the White House, adding:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe view this as a compromise. The government is not spending taxpayer dollars to acquire new digital assets.
