In a post on <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/ali_charts\/status\/1899267277654229041\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">X<\/a>, crypto trader Ali said:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf #Bitcoin $BTC holds $80,000, the bull case remains strong. Losing this level, however, could put $69,000 in play as the next key support!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>https:\/\/twitter.com\/ali_charts\/status\/1899267277654229041<\/p>\n<p>Bitcoin has risen slightly and is back up around $81,600 at the time of publishing, according to CoinMarketCap. Ether, on the other hand, was down over 9% in 24 hours to $1,920, XRP had fallen more than 2%, at $2.13, and Dogecoin was down over 8.81% to $0.1607.<\/p>\n<h2>The market reacts<\/h2>\n<p>News of the continued market sell-off comes as investors react to <a href=\"https:\/\/coinjournal.net\/search\/Donald+Trump\">Trump\u2019s<\/a> trade tariffs, the announcement of the <a href=\"https:\/\/coinjournal.net\/news\/report-trump-expected-to-announce-bitcoin-reserve-strategy-at-white-house-crypto-summit\/\">US Strategic Bitcoin Reserve<\/a>, and the possibility of a recession.<\/p>\n<p>Following Trump\u2019s remarks, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aljazeera.com\/economy\/2025\/3\/11\/bloodbath-us-stock-market-sheds-1-75tn-after-trumps-recession-remarks\">US stock market lost more than $1.7 trillion in value<\/a> yesterday. Elon Musk\u2019s Tesla saw its shares drop by at least 15% to $222, losing over half its value from its December peak at $479.86. In a post on <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/elonmusk\/status\/1899202765781450951\">X<\/a>, Musk said: \u201cit will be fine long-term.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Market conditions haven\u2019t been helped by Trump\u2019s trade tariffs on Canada, China, and Mexico. Last month, it was confirmed that Trump was <a href=\"https:\/\/coinjournal.net\/news\/bitcoin-drops-below-90k-as-trump-confirms-trade-tariffs\/\">imposing a 25% trade tariff on Canada and Mexico<\/a>; however, this has been delayed until <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/business\/tariff-reprieve-likely-be-extended-all-usmca-compliant-goods-lutnick-says-2025-03-06\/\">April 2<\/a>. China had a 20% tariff levied against it.<\/p>\n<p>BitMEX co-founder Arthur Hayes took to X to ask people to be \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/CryptoHayes\/status\/1899261481805566368\">patient<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201c$BTC likely bottoms around $70k. 36% correction from $110k ATH, v normal for a bull market,\u201d adding:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTraders will try to buy the dip, if you are more risk averse wait for the central banks to ease then deploy more capital.
