Peirce, leader of the Crypto Task Force, said: &ldquo;The Crypto Task Force roundtables are an opportunity for us to hear a lively discussion among experts about what the regulatory issues are and what the Commission can do to solve them.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The move to schedule more crypto roundtable discussions comes after the <a href=\"https:\/\/coinjournal.net\/news\/secs-crypto-task-force-to-host-its-first-meeting-on-security-on-march-21\/\">SEC&rsquo;s first one earlier this month<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>Changing attitudes<\/h2>\n<p>Launched on January 21 by acting SEC chair Mark Uyeda, the <a href=\"https:\/\/coinjournal.net\/news\/acting-sec-chair-uyeda-announces-new-crypto-task-force\/\">Crypto Task Force<\/a> aims to provide a &ldquo;comprehensive and clear regulatory framework for crypto assets.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>It also comes as the SEC shifts its view on the crypto industry.<\/p>\n<p>Following the re-election of US President Donald Trump, the agency has undergone a significant change, dropping several lawsuits against crypto companies.<\/p>\n<p>In recent weeks, these have included <a href=\"https:\/\/coinjournal.net\/news\/coinbase-scores-major-win-as-sec-set-to-drop-lawsuit\/\">Coinbase<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/coinjournal.net\/news\/sec-drops-investigation-against-gemini-no-action-taken\/\">Gemini<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/coinjournal.net\/news\/sec-to-drop-lawsuit-against-kraken-ending-a-wasteful-politically-motivated-campaign\/\">Kraken<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/coinjournal.net\/news\/sec-drops-investigation-into-robinhood-crypto\/\">Robinhood Crypto<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/coinjournal.net\/news\/sec-drops-case-against-uniswap-marking-a-huge-win-for-defi\/\">Uniswap<\/a>. Last week, Brad Garlinghouse, Ripple&rsquo;s CEO, said the <a href=\"https:\/\/coinjournal.net\/news\/ripple-ceo-says-the-sec-will-drop-its-appeal-xrp-price-reacts-higher\/\">SEC will drop its appeal against the company<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Yesterday, Immutable said that the <a href=\"https:\/\/coinjournal.net\/news\/imx-price-surges-as-sec-drops-investigation-into-immutable\/\">SEC had dropped its investigation<\/a> into the web3 gaming platform, marking a major win for the company.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/coinjournal.net\/search\/Mark+Uyeda\">Uyeda<\/a> took over the SEC reins after Gary Gensler resigned in January.
