David Sacks, who advises the White House on AI and crypto, shared on X that the Senate is preparing a full digital asset market structure. He credited Tim Scott and Cynthia Lummis for locking in a timeline to get legislation through by the end of September.<\/p>\n<p>July will be a busy month. The GENIUS Act, which already <a href=\"https:\/\/igaming.org\/crypto\/senate-sets-june-17-vote-on-genius-act\/\">passed<\/a> the Senate, is heading for a signing. Meanwhile, the CLARITY Act is on its way to the Senate too.<\/p>\n<h2>What GENIUS Covers<\/h2>\n<p>The Guiding and Establishing National Innovation for U.S. Stablecoins (GENIUS) Act focuses strictly on stablecoins used for payments. It also demands transparency from exchanges, segregation of customer funds, and clearer processes for commodity-like digital assets.<\/p>\n<h2>Why It Matters Now<\/h2>\n<p>Without these laws, developers and exchanges have faced ongoing uncertainty. Some have moved offshore, and others have gotten caught in enforcement fights.
