The breakout arrives right at the start of \u201cUptober,\u201d a month that has traditionally treated Bitcoin holders well\u2014and this year, it\u2019s off to a roaring start.<\/p>\n<hr\/>\n<p><em><strong>Good to Know<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em><strong>U.S. Bitcoin ETFs brought in $3.24 billion in inflows this week, led by BlackRock\u2019s iShares Bitcoin Trust.<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><strong>Bitcoin ETFs now collectively hold 1.3 million BTC worth over $166 billion.<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><strong>Over $173 million in short positions were liquidated within just four hours of the surge.<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr\/>\n<p>Bitcoin\u2019s strong weekend rally is being driven by sustained institutional demand and reinforced by growing optimism among veteran traders. Data from CoinGlass shows shorts were crushed in rapid succession, a familiar sight when momentum turns bullish.<\/p>\n<p>U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs continue to attract massive inflows, underlining how deep-pocketed investors are fueling the rise. The $3.24 billion inflow is the largest of 2025 so far and helped push total holdings across ETFs to 1,325,878 BTC\u2014worth roughly $166 billion.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Economist and trader Alex Kr\u00fcger<\/strong> believes this rally has real staying power. Never think of round numbers as support, that\u2019s what noobs do.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>He added that Bitcoin appears to be entering a trending market, cautioning traders against taking profits too soon:<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThe main risk in trending markets is taking profits too early. I don\u2019t think Bitcoin will fall below that again. The current rally is not based on paper Bitcoin or some top of a bull market.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>PlanB highlighted how gold, real estate, and equities are also hitting new highs\u2014something he attributes to the relentless expansion of global money supply.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThe entire reason why Bitcoin was created was as a hatch against that money printing. As long as governments are printing money and the money supply increases, Bitcoin will go up as well as other assets\u2014but Bitcoin will go up faster.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Based on his model, he estimates Bitcoin fair value range this cycle between <a href=\"https:\/\/igaming.org\/crypto\/planb-sees-more-room-for-bitcoin-to-grow-in-current-cycle-targets-250k-1m\/\">$250,000 and $1 million<\/a>, something he said already four months ago, calling it a \u201cscarcity magnet\u201d effect born from BTC\u2019s limited supply and continued demand.<\/p>\n<p>At press time, Bitcoin is trading around $123,600, holding firm after its record-setting weekend.
