The move deepens Square\u2019s commitment to integrating Bitcoin into everyday commerce as the move was expected a few months ago as <a href=\"https:\/\/igaming.org\/crypto\/block-plans-bitcoin-payments-on-square-by-2026\/\">reported<\/a> by iGaming.org at the time.<\/p>\n<hr\/>\n<p><strong><em>Good to Know<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><em>Merchants can hold <a href=\"https:\/\/igaming.org\/cryptocurrencies\/section\/what-is-a-bitcoin\/\">Bitcoin<\/a> in a built-in wallet via the Square dashboard.<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><em>Transaction fees are waived until 2026, with a 1% fee beginning Jan. 1, 2027.<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><em>The feature is available to U.S. sellers, excluding New York, and not yet open internationally.<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr\/>\n<h2>Making Bitcoin Practical for Businesses<\/h2>\n<p>Square\u2019s new Bitcoin feature gives local businesses the ability to accept BTC at the point of sale and automatically convert part of their sales into Bitcoin.
