Prosecutors initially pushed for a three-year sentence. The sentencing judge rejected that and instead issued a <a href=\"https:\/\/igaming.org\/crypto\/binances-changpeng-zhao-sentenced-for-4-months\/\">four-month term<\/a>, which Zhao served in 2024.<\/p>\n<p>Leavitt said the White House believed the original prosecution went too far.
