its first-ever ADA card, developed in partnership with global fintech firm Wirex and the blockchain\u2019s commercial arm, EMURGO.<\/p>\n<p>Unveiled during the <a href=\"https:\/\/summit.cardano.org\/\">2025 Cardano Summit in Berlin<\/a>, the new Cardano Card represents a major leap for ADA as it now becomes spendable in daily transactions across more than 130 countries.<\/p>\n<p>Through its integration with Visa, which <a href=\"https:\/\/coinjournal.net\/news\/visa-unveils-tokenized-digital-asset-platform\/\">unveiled its tokenised digital asset platform in 2024<\/a>,\u00a0 the card allows users to make purchases and withdrawals anywhere Visa is accepted, supporting over 685 cryptocurrencies, including ADA, BTC, ETH, and stablecoins such as USDC.<\/p>\n<p>Built directly into the Wirex app, the card brings together crypto and fiat functionalities in one platform.<\/p>\n<p>Users can spend their digital assets effortlessly while accessing features like crypto-backed loans, yield accounts, and structured trading products.<\/p>\n<p>With up to 8% cashback on purchases and ATM access, the Cardano Card aims to redefine how holders use crypto in everyday life.<\/p>\n<h2>Bridging blockchain and traditional finance<\/h2>\n<p>For EMURGO and Wirex, this initiative represents a strategic move to connect blockchain technology with established financial systems.<\/p>\n<p>The card\u2019s rollout follows years of growing demand for products that make digital assets usable in the real economy.<\/p>\n<p>According to industry reports, while there are more than 820 million crypto wallets globally, only a small fraction are used for payments.<\/p>\n<p>And by offering a seamless, multi-chain solution backed by Visa\u2019s global infrastructure, Cardano and Wirex are positioning ADA as a gateway for millions of users to access decentralised finance (DeFi) through familiar payment experiences.<\/p>\n<p>Phillip Pon, CEO of EMURGO, described the project as \u201cmobile-ready, fintech-friendly, and uniquely built for on-chain finance,\u201d emphasising its potential to expand Cardano\u2019s presence in the global fintech space.<\/p>\n<p>Moving forward, EMURGO has outlined a multi-phase roadmap that includes a non-custodial version in 2026, allowing users full control over their assets.<\/p>\n<p>Future updates will introduce features such as auto-staking, tokenised real-world asset yields (RWA), and enhanced DeFi integrations.<\/p>\n<p>Importantly, a portion of the card\u2019s profits will be redirected into the Cardano Treasury, reinforcing the ecosystem\u2019s long-term sustainability.<\/p>\n<p>Wirex, which has processed more than $20 billion in transactions and serves over six million users, sees the Cardano partnership as an expansion of its mission to connect the Web3 economy with the traditional financial world.<\/p>\n<p>Georgy Sokolov, Wirex\u2019s co-founder, said the partnership marks a turning point for the network, bringing \u201cmillions of users closer to a future where digital assets are seamlessly integrated into everyday financial life.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The <a
