Price <a href=\"https:\/\/coinjournal.net\/news\/chainlink-crashes-below-14-as-bitcoin-slumps-to-95k-altcoin-market-bleeds-heavily\/\">fell below $14<\/a> on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>Could the broader caution cascading across the altcoin market allow for further price deterioration?<\/p>\n<h2>Chainlink extends decline to near $13<\/h2>\n<p>As of writing, Chainlink price has lost 13% over the past week. While bulls are near the $14, the token touched intraday lows of $13.45 on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>One key observation is that Chainlink\u2019s trading volume has remained elevated during the downturn.<\/p>\n<p>This suggests conviction among sellers, who have pushed prices lower amid a symmetrical triangle pattern formation.<\/p>\n<p>Accompanied by a sharp spike in volume, up 59% in 24 hours to over $837 million, LINK\u2019s breakdowns mirror what typically happens amid fresh downside volatility.<\/p>\n<p>In fact, as can be seen in the chart below, the altcoin\u2019s daily price chart signals a potential death cross pattern.<\/p>\n<h2>What\u2019s the Chainlink price outlook?<\/h2>\n<p>The technical outlook has key indicators flashing bearish signals, with the 50-day simple moving average (SMA) set to cross below the 200-day simple moving average.<\/p>\n<p>Death crosses are lagging indicators, which means that while not entirely predictive in itself before confirming, their appearance has historically marked the beginning of an extended bearish phase.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_348470\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-348470\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" data-source=\"CoinJournal\" class=\"size-full wp-image-348470\" src=\"https:\/\/coinjournal.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/chainlink-link-price-chart.png\" alt=\"Chainlink Price Chart\" width=\"1057\" height=\"571\"\/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-348470\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tradingview.com\/symbols\/LINKUSD\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Chainlink daily chart<\/a> by TradingView<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>For Chainlink, indications of downward pressure go beyond the death cross.<\/p>\n<p>On the daily chart, the Relative Strength Index (RSI) has fallen below the neutral 50 level and is approaching oversold territory. RSI currently sits near 36\/<\/p>\n<p>Also strengthening downward pressure is the Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD).
