The cryptocurrency market experienced continued turbulence on February 17, with Bitcoin (BTC) and several altcoins facing price drops amid broader macroeconomic uncertainty. <\/p>\n

Despite these struggles, some coins defied the market trend, including Sonic (S), which emerged as the top gainer. <\/p>\n

Bitcoin (BTC) price struggled on Monday, dropping by nearly 1% to $96,215. <\/p>\n

Throughout the day, BTC\u2019s price fluctuated between $96,051.56 and $97,672.65, reflecting ongoing volatility. <\/p>\n

As investors react to global economic conditions, Bitcoin futures open interest (OI) saw a slight uptick of 0.2%, now sitting at $60.53 billion.<\/p>\n

Ethereum (ETH) and XRP continue to struggle<\/h2>\n

Ethereum (ETH) also faced challenges, with a decline of over 1% in the past 24 hours, bringing its price to $2,664. <\/p>\n

Ethereum\u2019s price fluctuated between $2,655.30 and $2,724.40 during the day, reflecting ongoing market struggles. <\/p>\n

In addition, Ethereum futures OI dropped by 0.5%, now standing at $22.95 billion.<\/p>\n

XRP experienced a notable 3% drop in price, trading at $2.70. <\/p>\n

The coin\u2019s intraday low and high were recorded at $2.70 and $2.80, respectively. XRP\u2019s futures OI also saw a decline of nearly 5%, now at $4.10 billion.<\/p>\n

Solana price drops <\/h2>\n

Solana (SOL) saw a steep drop of 5% on Monday, with its price falling to $184. <\/p>\n

The coin\u2019s 24-hour low and high were $184 and $196, respectively. <\/p>\n

While Solana\u2019s performance mirrors the overall market downtrend, its futures OI increased by nearly 9% in the last 24 hours, reaching $5.88 billion.<\/p>\n

Meme cryptos DOGE & SHIB slip<\/h2>\n

Meme coins also took a hit, with Dogecoin (DOGE) losing nearly 2%, trading at $0.26. <\/p>\n

Shiba Inu (SHIB) followed suit, dropping by over 1% to $0.00001592. <\/p>\n

TRUMP coin, another meme crypto, saw a 3% decline, trading at $18.36.<\/p>\n

Crypto gainers and losers on Feb 17: Sonic (S) leads the pack<\/h2>\n

Despite the broader market\u2019s struggles, Sonic (S) emerged as a strong performer, gaining 4% and reaching a price of $0.544. <\/p>\n

PancakeSwap (CAKE) also saw positive movement, gaining 3% to reach $2.74, while The Graph (GRT) added 3%, trading at $0.1417.<\/p>\n

On the downside, Jupiter (JUP) experienced the largest loss, dropping 10% to $0.8438. <\/p>\n

Litecoin (LTC) and Raydium (RAY) also struggled, with LTC falling 8% to $124.52, and RAY dropping 7% to $4.91.<\/p>\n

Other alt\/meme coins like Terra, Testnets, Tether, Tezos, The Graph, Theta Fuel, Theta, THORChain, Threshold, TomoChain, Toncoin, Travala.com, Tron, Trust Wallet, Uniswap, USD Coin, Utrust, VeChain, Verge, Waltonchain, and Wanchain came under pressure due to the broader market effect and were showing volatility in prices at the time of writing.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
