First launched globally in April 2025, Mining COREs have now completed one year of activity inside the Mining Race ecosystem. This milestone also reflects the next stage in making Bitcoin mining more accessible and competitive for users worldwide.

Built in response to community feedback, COREs Evolution adds another dimension to the structure of the Mining Race experience. This model aims to be easier to join, simpler to follow, and more dynamic over time. COREs Evolution is built around digital units called Mining COREs, each representing 1 TH/s of mining power within the platform. Users can activate these COREs inside the Mining Race app and take part in a system built around recurring races and platform-based rewards. Moreover, users will be able to mine BTC without managing hardware or handling technical setups themselves.

At the center of that experience are two race formats: Sprint Races and Block Races. Sprint Races take place for newly enrolled COREs during a week, with one winning Core unlocking the relevant Bitcoin block hash each week. Block Races, meanwhile, run on a much more frequent timeline, are tied to newly mined Bitcoin blocks, and are available to all active COREs. In addition to Race participation, each Core also carries mining power that allows it to generate mining rewards during its active period. COREs completed one year of activity, with more than 450,000 COREs participating so far.

Several changes have also been introduced to improve how users interact with the product as it enters its next phase. Mining Grid has added auto-buy functionality, bundle purchase options, and integrated bonus mechanics to make participation through Mining COREs more flexible. Parts of the reward and race structure have also been revised to create a smoother and more consistent experience for users over time.

“COREs Evolution is the result of listening closely to how our users participate in Mining Race and where they wanted the experience to improve,” said Rami Alsridi, CEO and Founder of Mining Grid. “Our goal was to turn a familiar model into one that feels more complete, more thoughtful, and better suited to long-term participation.”

The anniversary milestone also gives Mining Grid a chance to show how Mining COREs fit into the broader Mining Race ecosystem. Under the platform’s structure, a user purchases a tiered subscription called Spot to get entry into the system. The higher users go up the tiers, the higher capacity of products like Mining Cards and Mining Devices they can unlock. This shows that Mining Race is not built around a single product path. Instead, it is structured to let users begin with an easy format and then explore broader options within the platform as they become more familiar with it.

One of the highlights of this experience is the platform’s integrated non-custodial wallet. The platform also connects with mining pools in the background, helping users access mining-related products without needing to handle the operational complexity themselves. This back-end support is one of the clearest parts of Mining Grid’s value proposition: users can focus on the experience, while most of the technical work is handled behind the scenes.

More broadly, the first year of Mining COREs shows the direction Mining Grid is trying to take. Mining Grid wants to make Bitcoin mining easier to access without stripping away the activity and momentum that make the space interesting to users in the first place. That means reducing the technical burden, simplifying how people get started, and building products that feel usable from day one.

As Mining Race continues to develop, COREs Evolution stands as one of the clearest sign of how Mining COREs are moving into their next stage. With weekly Sprint winners, ongoing Block Races, and a broader platform that includes Mining Cards, Mining Devices, and an integrated non-custodial wallet, with over 125,000 downloads across 150+ countries, this update shows how Mining Grid is expanding the Mining Race experience in practical terms. More importantly, it shows how the company wants to make Bitcoin mining more open and more user-friendly.

The Mining Race app is available on App Store and Google Play

For any media enquiries, please reach out to us via email at info@miningrid.com.

_________________________________________________________________________

Bitcoin.com accepts no responsibility or liability, and shall not be liable, whether directly or indirectly, for any loss, damage, claim, cost, or expense of any kind, whether actual, alleged, or consequential, arising out of or in connection with the use of, or reliance upon, any content, goods, or services referenced in this article.
