In his <a href=\"https:\/\/howtobuybitcoin.org\/learn\/21-rules-of-bitcoin\/\">21 Rules of Bitcoin<\/a>, he explicitly states, \u201cNever Sell Your Bitcoin!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Now, Strategy appears to be adding a small exception to that idea. A company can still believe in holding Bitcoin long term while using a small amount for a specific financial reason. Strategy has not framed the idea as a break from its Bitcoin accumulation plan.<\/p>\n<p>The company remains the largest corporate Bitcoin holder in the world. At quarter-end, Strategy held 818,334 BTC, equal to about 3.9% of total Bitcoin supply.<\/p>\n<p>That scale also brings volatility. Strategy reported a $14.5 billion unrealized loss in Q1 as Bitcoin prices moved lower. An unrealized loss means the value fell on paper, but the company did not necessarily sell. Management described STRC as a key funding channel, with dividend yields, demand, and trading liquidity all playing a role in its wider \u201cdigital credit\u201d plan.<\/p>\n<p>Internal modeling from Strategy suggests dividends could continue indefinitely if Bitcoin rises by only 2.3% per year, without constant new equity issuance.
