The collaboration brings together online broker flatexDEGIRO, French banking giant Societe Generale, and its crypto-asset subsidiary, Societe Generale-FORGE (SG-FORGE).<\/p>\n<p>Under the partnership, Societe Generale will issue tokenized structured products, such as turbo warrants and investment certificates, through Seturion. Those digital assets will be traded on European trading venues, including Boerse Stuttgart\u2019s own markets and Nasdaq\u2019s European trading venues.<\/p>\n<p>According to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sgforge.com\/flatexdegiro-sg-sgforge-join-seturion-boerse-stuttgart-groups\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">news release,<\/a> retail orders will be funneled directly through flatexDEGIRO, which serves more than 3.5 million customers across 16 countries. Transactions will be settled on-chain through Seturion using regulated euro- and U.S. dollar-pegged <a href=\"https:\/\/news.bitcoin.com\/societe-generale-forge-deploys-mica-compliant-eur-coinvertible-stablecoin-on-stellar\/\">stablecoins<\/a> provided by SG-FORGE.<\/p>\n<p>Seturion officials said the blockchain-based network addresses Europe\u2019s fragmented post-trade environment by supporting public and private <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bitcoin.com\/get-started\/what-is-a-blockchain\/\" class=\"lar_link lar_link_outgoing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">blockchains<\/a>, reducing overall settlement costs and shortening transaction cycles.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith Seturion, we are building the European settlement platform for the unified European capital market that is emerging as a result of the Capital Markets Union,\u201d said Matthias Voelkel, CEO of Boerse Stuttgart Group. \u201cAs an open industry solution, Seturion contributes to overcoming Europe\u2019s fragmented settlement landscape.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2>Industry Shift Toward Digital Infrastructure<\/h2>\n<p>While the platform is built to handle all asset classes, tokenized structured securities will be the first to roll out due to their high transaction volumes.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFaster and more cost-efficient settlement on tokenized rails is especially relevant for securities with high numbers of transactions and issued products,\u201d said Lidia Kurt, CEO of Seturion.<\/p>\n<p>Online brokerages are backing the shift toward digital ledgers to meet rising consumer demands for speed.
