The spike pushed its weekly gains above 250% and over 580% since May 1, when it traded around $2.15. The token, which briefly pushed LAB\u2019s aggregate market capitalization well past the $6 billion mark, has continued to surge despite serious concerns about the project\u2019s tokenomics and insider-dealing allegations.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Market data showed that LAB\u2019s brief surge past the $16 mark saw it momentarily break into the top 20 coins by market capitalization tracked by Coingecko. Although it ultimately retreated to $14.66 at 9:08 a.m. EDT on June 1, the token was still ahead of <a href=\"https:\/\/branch.wallet.bitcoin.com\/news-contextual-bch\" class=\"lar_link lar_link_outgoing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">BCH<\/a> and TON. LAB\u2019s ascendancy amid a market-wide sell-off triggered the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bitcoin.com\/get-started\/understanding-liquidation-on-perp-dex\/\" class=\"lar_link lar_link_outgoing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">liquidation<\/a> of more than $16.5 million in short bets and $2.6 million in long bets.<\/p>\n<p>In a May 14<a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/zachxbt\/status\/2054898774552776720\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> post<\/a> on X regarding his investigation into the project, ZachXBT alleged that 95% of the LAB token supply was likely in the hands of insiders. The online sleuth also claimed that one of the signers for several LAB team multisigs was funded by an insider linked on-chain to <a href=\"https:\/\/news.bitcoin.com\/zachxbt-bitget-supply-control-manipulation-rave-river-siren-lab-2026\/\">RIVER manipulation<\/a>. The same insider received more than $12 million of RIVER tokens across two <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bitcoin.com\/get-started\/what-is-a-cex\/\" class=\"lar_link lar_link_outgoing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">centralized exchange<\/a> deposit addresses. ZachXBT also tied LAB\u2019s founders to ESE, their previous project, which he said left investors feeling abandoned after the team moved on.<\/p>\n<p>However, despite <a href=\"https:\/\/news.bitcoin.com\/rave-crashes-68-as-binance-and-bitget-investigate-manipulation-claims\/\">ZachXBT\u2019s warning<\/a> and the grim findings of his investigation, the LAB token did not tank and held its ground for much of the second half of May. Starting May 29, LAB rose sharply, helping push its year-to-date gains to over 12,000%. Reacting to the latest price action, ZachXBT <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/zachxbt\/status\/2061422973618455019\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">repeated<\/a> his past warnings about the project.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYes, it seems like last scam pump for LAB from MM before all of the hidden supply unlocks from OTC \/ private sale.
