The card was already available in Brazil and Argentina.<\/p>\n<p>Each purchase auto-converts <span>crypto<\/span> funds in the user\u2019s wallet to local currency, allowing the transaction to settle automatically. Users receive 1% cashback in each transaction deposited in mUSD, Metamask\u2019s own dollar-pegged <span>stablecoin<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>The move comes at a time when <span>crypto<\/span> cards have grown to become a regular means of spending <span>crypto<\/span> worldwide. According to Alex Oblakevich, head of research at Utexo, activity in the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bitcoin.com\/get-started\/a-quick-introduction-to-crypto\/\" class=\"lar_link lar_link_outgoing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">crypto<\/a> card sector has <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/obchakevich_\/status\/2065482262129361108?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">increased<\/a>, with transactions growing 2.7 times with no correlation to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.binance.com\/en\/price\/bitcoin\/\" class=\"lar_link lar_link_outgoing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">BTC<\/a>\u2019s price.<\/p>\n<p>Also, he revealed that deposits have become regular rather than large, an indication that the product is transitioning from an early-adopter phase into a mainstream stage, with users topping up their cards to pay for regular purchases and services.<\/p>\n<p>The company has been expanding its user base since it launched the Metamask Card pilot back in 2024, back when <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bitcoin.com\/get-started\/a-quick-introduction-to-crypto\/\" class=\"lar_link lar_link_outgoing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">crypto<\/a> cards were still a rarity.
