The pool is the official and sole legal pooling option for licensed mining companies operating in Oman. Participation is not optional.<\/p>\n<h2>The Builder Behind It<\/h2>\n<p>Enegix Global, a vertically integrated digital energy and infrastructure company, provided the technology platform and <span>liquidity<\/span> infrastructure for the pool. Frontier Technologies LLC (Frontech), an Omani <span>blockchain<\/span> and <span>Web3<\/span> firm based in Muscat, handles local operations and management.<\/p>\n<p>This is Enegix\u2019s second sovereign-level mining pool mandate. The company previously built and operates btcpool.kz in <a href=\"https:\/\/news.bitcoin.com\/kazakhstan-announces-investment-of-up-to-350-million-in-crypto-reserve\/\">Kazakhstan<\/a>, which it describes as the world\u2019s first government-accredited <span>bitcoin mining<\/span> pool integrated with state tax-reporting systems. No other operator has delivered multiple projects at this scale.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is our second sovereign mandate, and it validates the model we have been building since Kazakhstan,\u201d said Olzhas Amirov, CBDO of Enegix Global. \u201cClear licensing frameworks help miners operate legally, avoid excessive taxation, and establish transparent communication with authorities.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2>Scale and <span>Hashrate<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Oman currently controls approximately 3% of global network <span>hashrate<\/span>, or roughly 30 EH\/s, according to Q2 2026 data from <a href=\"https:\/\/data.hashrateindex.com\/network-data\/global-hashrate-heatmap\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Hashrate Index<\/a>. Omanhash.om targets 10 EH\/s in its initial phase. Combined with Enegix\u2019s 21pool.io and btcpool.kz pools, the company\u2019s total operated <span>hashrate<\/span> reaches approximately 25 EH\/s. Total investment in mining and data center infrastructure in the Salalah Free Zone has exceeded $700 million. Two major facilities launched in 2022 and 2023, with licensed operators Exahertz and Green Data City leading buildout.<\/p>\n<p>The government\u2019s push falls under Oman Vision 2040, an economic diversification strategy targeting reduced dependence on oil through investment in digital infrastructure, AI, data centers, and <span>blockchain<\/span>. <span>Cryptocurrency<\/span> is not legal tender in Oman under Central Bank guidance, but regulated mining operations are permitted and encouraged.<\/p>\n<h2>What Changes for <span>Bitcoin<\/span> Miners<\/h2>\n<p>Before Omanhash.om, licensed miners in Oman operated under a fragmented model. The national pool centralizes that activity under a single framework.<\/p>\n<p>Omanhash.om uses a Full Pay-Per-Share (FPPS) payout model. Miners receive payouts based on shares submitted, independent of whether the pool finds a block. The pool operator collects a fee. Miners register, connect hardware, and participate through the platform.<\/p>\n<p>The mandatory status gives regulators direct visibility into <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bitcoin.com\/get-started\/what-is-bitcoin-hashrate\/\" class=\"lar_link lar_link_outgoing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">hashrate<\/a>, revenue flows, and compliance across the entire licensed sector. Gauhar Kagira, Director of Enegix Mining Pool, called Oman \u201cone of the first countries in the region to introduce a structured regulatory framework for miners.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2>The Kazakhstan Template<\/h2>\n<p>The btcpool.kz project in Kazakhstan, launched in October 2023, established the model now deployed in Oman. It consolidated licensed <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bitcoin.com\/get-started\/what-is-bitcoin-hashrate\/\" class=\"lar_link lar_link_outgoing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">hashrate<\/a> and enabled direct revenue reporting to tax authorities.
