The network already supports euros, British pounds, U.S. dollars, Hong Kong dollars and Singapore dollars.<\/p>\n<p>Mohamed Al Marzooqi, chief executive officer of HSBC UAE, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.about.hsbc.ae\/news-and-media\/hsbc-launches-tokenised-deposit-service-in-the-uae\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">said<\/a> the rollout reflects both regulatory readiness and market demand.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe introduction of tokenized deposits to the UAE is a reflection of the maturity of the local regulatory environment when it comes to digital finance and the genuine demand from corporates operating in and through this market for more capable treasury tools,\u201d Al Marzooqi said.<\/p>\n<p>According to HSBC, the service is designed to streamline working capital by removing standard banking-hour constraints for internal transfers, reducing manual processes and providing real-time visibility into global cash positions.<\/p>\n<p>The launch aligns with the UAE\u2019s broader strategy to position itself as a <a href=\"https:\/\/news.bitcoin.com\/dubai-to-host-rwa-summit-on-may-1-as-part-of-the-global-rwa-week-initiative\/\">regulated hub<\/a> for digital finance and financial technology.<\/p>\n<p>Kyle Boag, regional head of global payments solutions for HSBC Middle East, North Africa and T\u00fcrkiye, said demand for real-time <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bitcoin.com\/get-started\/what-is-liquidity\/\" class=\"lar_link lar_link_outgoing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">liquidity<\/a> tools continues to rise.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe demand for instant, secure, always-on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bitcoin.com\/get-started\/what-is-liquidity\/\" class=\"lar_link lar_link_outgoing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">liquidity<\/a> solutions is only increasing as businesses seek to compete in a globalized and highly digitalised world,\u201d Boag said.<\/p>\n<p>Before expanding the service into the UAE, HSBC spent several years building out its digital asset infrastructure. The bank powered a $1.3 billion-equivalent multicurrency digital green bond issuance for Hong Kong, which was the largest digital bond offering of its kind at the time.<\/p>\n<p>HSBC also facilitated the European Investment Bank\u2019s first digital bond denominated in British pounds.
