Keisha Clark, managing director of Nuvion, said:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cWe believe the future of money movement will be increasingly real-time, programmable, and global. Integrating RLUSD expands the infrastructure available to businesses operating internationally, helping them access faster settlement, greater flexibility, and modern financial capabilities through a single platform.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Ripple product lead Lauren Berta added that <span>stablecoins<\/span> have become \u201cincreasingly central\u201d to demand for faster, more transparent cross-border payments, further adding:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cRLUSD is built to bring the efficiency of <span>blockchain<\/span> to global payments, giving enterprises and fintechs a practical, compliant way to move value around the world.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h2>RLUSD\u2019s Breakout Year<\/h2>\n<p>RLUSD, the dollar-pegged <span>stablecoin<\/span> Ripple launched in December 2024, has quietly become one of the fastest-growing pieces of the company\u2019s business. Its supply on the <span>XRP<\/span> Ledger (XRPL) has climbed from roughly $20 million at the end of 2024 to about $800 million by late June, according to <span>XRP<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/news.bitcoin.com\/xrp-gains-from-rlusd-growth-as-900m-trading-boom-deepens-liquidity-evernorth-says\/\">treasury company Evernorth<\/a>, making XRPL the largest network hosting the token with around 51% of total supply (up from about 17% in April).<\/p>\n<p>Activity has scaled with it as monthly RLUSD-related transactions have jumped from about 54,000 in December 2024 to between 600,000 and 1.1 million per month in 2026, and the <span>stablecoin<\/span>\u2019s share of trading on the network has risen from less than 1% to around 12%.<\/p>\n<p>The Nuvion deal extends a run of distribution wins given RLUSD went <a href=\"https:\/\/news.bitcoin.com\/ripples-rlusd-breaks-into-japan-with-sbi-after-regulatory-approval\/\">live in Japan<\/a> in late June, and a string of platforms have added the token as institutions look for regulated alternatives to incumbent <span>stablecoins<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>Lastly, the announcement came the same day Ripple became <a href=\"https:\/\/news.bitcoin.com\/xrp-gets-major-institutional-boost-as-ripple-becomes-fully-mica-compliant\/\">fully MiCA compliant<\/a>, securing <span>Crypto<\/span> Asset Service Provider authorization in Luxembourg under the European Union\u2019s Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) framework (regulated access to 30 countries across the European Economic Area).<\/p>\n<h2>Why XRP Holders Are Watching<\/h2>\n<p>For the <span>XRP<\/span> faithful, RLUSD\u2019s enterprise momentum is not a side story, as every RLUSD transfer, swap and trade on the <span>XRP<\/span> Ledger depends on <span>XRP<\/span> for transaction fees and network settlement, meaning <span>stablecoin<\/span> <span>volume<\/span> translates directly into demand for the network\u2019s native asset.
