The fund holds cash, U.S. Treasury bills, and repurchase agreements, and represents investor shares as <span>blockchain<\/span> tokens that can settle around the clock.<\/p>\n<p>BUIDL began on Ethereum and has since expanded across eight networks, including <span>Solana<\/span>, Polygon, Avalanche, Arbitrum, Optimism, Aptos, and <span>BNB<\/span> Chain. Access remains restricted to qualified purchasers, with minimum investments of $5 million for individuals and $25 million for institutions.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Blackrock has been explicit about the strategy with the firm naming <span>crypto<\/span> and tokenization as themes \u201cdriving markets in unprecedented ways\u201d in its 2026 outlook, and Chief Executive Larry Fink repeatedly framing tokenization as the next stage of market infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, as <span>Bitcoin.com<\/span> News reported recently, <a href=\"https:\/\/news.bitcoin.com\/blackrocks-onchain-buidl-fund-secures-top-aaa-mf-rating-from-moodys\/\">Moody\u2019s assigned<\/a> BUIDL its top AAA-mf money market rating when the fund held $2.58 billion in assets under management, a stamp institutional allocators typically require before committing capital.<\/p>\n<h2>New Funds Target Stablecoin Cash<\/h2>\n<p>The $2.93 billion figure also captures Blackrock\u2019s newer products, as the asset manager <a href=\"https:\/\/news.bitcoin.com\/blackrock-tokenized-money-market-funds-ethereum\/\">filed<\/a> with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on May 8 to launch two additional tokenized money market funds, namely BSTBL on Ethereum and BRSRV across multiple <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bitcoin.com\/get-started\/what-is-a-blockchain\/\" class=\"lar_link lar_link_outgoing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">blockchains<\/a>.
