That puts the company 96% of the way toward its stated \u201cAlchemy of 5%\u201d goal, 12 months after beginning the accumulation strategy.<\/p>\n<h2>Staked ETH Nears 4.92 Million<\/h2>\n<p>Bitmine said it has staked 4,917,189 <span>ETH<\/span>, worth about $9 billion at current prices. That represents roughly 85% of the company\u2019s total <span>ETH<\/span> holdings.<\/p>\n<p>Chairman Tom Lee said Bitmine has staked more <span>ETH<\/span> than any other entity. Lee stated:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align:left\">At scale (when Bitmine\u2019s <span>ETH<\/span> is fully staked by MAVAN and its <span>staking<\/span> partners), the projected <span>ETH<\/span> <span>staking<\/span> reward is $284 million on an annualized basis (using 2.70% 7-day BMNR yield). Annualized <span>staking<\/span> revenues are now projected at $242 million.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bitcoin.com\/get-started\/what-is-staking\/\" class=\"lar_link lar_link_outgoing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">staking<\/a> income has become a central part of Bitmine\u2019s balance-sheet strategy. It gives the company recurring ETH-denominated revenue while it continues to pursue its supply-ownership target.<\/p>\n<h2>Russell 1000 Inclusion Broadens Investor Base<\/h2>\n<p>Bitmine was added to the Russell 1000 Large-cap Index on June 26 as part of the index\u2019s annual reconstitution. Lee said the inclusion is expected to bring hundreds, and potentially thousands, of additional institutional investors into Bitmine\u2019s shareholder base.<\/p>\n<p>The company also recently completed a 3.5 million-share <a href=\"https:\/\/news.bitcoin.com\/bitmine-targets-300m-in-preferred-stock-to-stack-more-eth-yields-9-50\/\">offering<\/a> of 9.50% Series A Perpetual Preferred Stock at $80 per share. Net proceeds were about $273.8 million.
