She described a rapid transition from bank pilots toward production-grade activity and positioned Ripple\u2019s digital asset stack across the full tokenized asset lifecycle.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn the last year, we\u2019ve seen the veritable light switch flip \u2013 from bank pilots to production, from issuing tokenized assets like money market funds and liquidity funds to using them! Institutional capital markets are moving in one direction \u2014 onchain 24\/7,\u201d Long stated on X, adding:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cAt Ripple, our goal remains to provide the full stack of digital asset infrastructure \u2013 allowing institutional participants to take advantage of the entire lifecycle of a tokenized asset on the XRP Ledger.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Those investments in ZILO and Licuido <a href=\"https:\/\/preview.news.bitcoin.com\/featured\/ripple-backs-zilo-and-licuido-to-expand-xrpl-capital-markets\/\">add fund tokenization and institutional liquidity infrastructure<\/a> to Ripple\u2019s broader capital markets strategy, supporting fund issuance, trading, and settlement on the XRP Ledger.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ripple.com\/insights\/ripple-mint\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ripple\u2019s Mint platform complements that strategy<\/a>. Launched on July 23, it provides financial institutions with a unified interface to access, mint, redeem, and manage Ripple USD, or RLUSD, while issuing and transferring the stablecoin across fiat and blockchain settlement systems.<\/p>\n<p>Institutional issuers can also use <a href=\"https:\/\/ripple.com\/use-case\/issue-tokenized-assets\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ripple\u2019s tokenization platform<\/a> to create securities, stablecoins, fund units, bonds, commodities, and other real-world asset (RWA) tokens. Its infrastructure combines issuance, redemption, compliance screening, transfer restrictions, audit trails, freeze controls, clawbacks, and multichain distribution.<\/p>\n<h2>Tokenized Funds Move Into Trading, Lending, and Yield<\/h2>\n<p>A <a href=\"https:\/\/ripple.com\/ripple-press\/dbs-franklin-templeton-to-launch-trading-and-lending-solutions-tokenised-mmf-ripple-stablecoin-rlusd\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">partnership among DBS, Franklin Templeton, and Ripple<\/a> shows how tokenized assets can support continuous portfolio management after issuance. The arrangement allows eligible DBS clients to trade RLUSD for Franklin Templeton\u2019s tokenized money market fund within minutes while retaining access to yield.<\/p>\n<p>DBS also plans to explore <a href=\"https:\/\/news.bitcoin.com\/ripple-dbs-franklin-templeton-partner-to-drive-institutional-rlusd-adoption-on-xrp-ledger\/\">accepting these tokenized fund units as collateral<\/a> through bank repurchase agreements or third-party lending platforms. That structure would let institutional investors move between a stable settlement asset and an income-producing instrument throughout the day.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bitcoin.com\/get-started\/defi-and-web3\/real-world-assets\/what-are-real-world-assets-rwa\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Real-world asset tokens<\/a> can represent bonds, funds, commodities, and property on blockchain networks, opening those assets to faster transfers and around-the-clock settlement.<\/p>\n<h2>Credit Infrastructure Could Extend the XRPL Stack<\/h2>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/news.bitcoin.com\/ripple-spotlights-xrpl-lending-protocol-proposal-for-institutional-onchain-credit\/\">proposed XRPL Lending Protocol<\/a> would add standardized institutional lending to the network\u2019s tokenization infrastructure. The design keeps underwriting and compliance decisions offchain while managing servicing, repayments, interest, and defaults onchain for treasuries, stablecoins, commodities, money market funds, and private credit.<\/p>\n<p>Separate XRPL infrastructure is <a href=\"https:\/\/news.bitcoin.com\/xrp-and-rlusd-holders-gain-tokenized-treasury-yield-through-doppler-finance\/\">connecting XRP and RLUSD liquidity with tokenized U.S. Treasury products<\/a> offering regulated, reserve-backed yield. A Doppler Finance and Openeden partnership plans to integrate Openeden\u2019s TBILL token and yield-bearing USDO stablecoin into an XRPL-native protocol using audited reserves, regulated custody, and compliance controls.<\/p>\n<p>The Bank for International Settlements (BIS) identified tokenization as a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bis.org\/publ\/arpdf\/ar2026e3.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">potential source of faster, programmable payments and more efficient financial intermediation<\/a>.
