That plan includes BNY and Citi backing tokenized deposits across clearinghouses run by Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), NYSE\u2019s parent company.<\/p>\n<p>Separately, NYSE has been building out its tokenization capabilities through a partnership with Securitize, which now serves as the exchange\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/news.bitcoin.com\/nyse-partners-with-securitize-to-build-24-7-trading-for-tokenized-securities\/\">first digital transfer agent<\/a>, converting traditional stocks and ETFs into blockchain-based tokens capable of trading around the clock while preserving full shareholder rights.<\/p>\n<h2>DTCC\u2019s Pilot Sets the Pace<\/h2>\n<p>NYSE\u2019s settlement platform will arrive alongside <a href=\"https:\/\/news.bitcoin.com\/dtcc-tokenization-draws-50-firms-for-live-securities-testing\/\">DTCC\u2019s own tokenization rollout<\/a>, the largest production tokenization initiative the clearinghouse has attempted to date. DTCC set an October full launch for a platform covering Russell 1000 stocks, major exchange-traded funds and key U.S. Treasury instruments.<\/p>\n<p>The pilot has already moved past the planning stage with DTCC reportedly moving tokenized stocks, ETFs and Treasurys into live trading soon, a milestone the clearinghouse described as a major step for Wall Street\u2019s blockchain infrastructure. More than 50 firms have shaped the effort with their input, including Blackrock, Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan, and crypto-native firms like Anchorage and Circle.<\/p>\n<h2>Part of a Broader Tokenization Land Grab<\/h2>\n<p>NYSE isn\u2019t the only major player racing to build tokenized-securities infrastructure this year. Bitcoin.com News reported that ICE, NYSE\u2019s parent, invested in crypto exchange OKX at a <a href=\"https:\/\/news.bitcoin.com\/nyse-parent-ice-invests-in-okx-at-25-billion-valuation\/\">$25 billion valuation<\/a>, with plans to let OKX users trade tokenized stocks and derivatives tied to NYSE-listed assets later in 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Bullish, the crypto exchange that itself trades under the ticker BLSH, also announced a <a href=\"https:\/\/news.bitcoin.com\/bullish-announces-4-2b-equiniti-deal-to-build-tokenized-securities-transfer-agent\/\">$4.2 billion deal<\/a> to acquire transfer agent Equiniti in May, aiming to link its digital-asset business with traditional shareholder record-keeping.
