The announcement of the switch came less than two weeks after <a href=\"https:\/\/news.bitcoin.com\/crypto-news\/bitgo-shifts-wbtc-infrastructure-to-chainlink-in-security-push\/\">Bitgo swapped Layerzero for CCIP<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Commission officials stated that the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.prnewswire.com\/news-releases\/wyoming-stable-token-commission-migrates-to-chainlink-ccip-for-enhanced-operational-security-302854502.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">upgrade to Chainlink CCIP<\/a> was initiated to maintain high standards of security, governance, and operational integrity. The decision follows a detailed security review by the Commission, which raised concerns about Layerzero\u2019s operational security and disclosure practices. Consequently, the Commission opted to deprecate the original Layerzero implementation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Commission proactively conducted a security review and identified concerns regarding LayerZero\u2019s disclosure practices and operational security,\u201d said Anthony Apollo, Executive Director of the Wyoming Stable Token Commission. \u201cFollowing the review, the Commission decided to adopt Chainlink CCIP as it is the only cross-chain infrastructure that met our stringent security and reliability requirements across the board\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Chainlink\u2019s LINK briefly pushed back to $9.70 after the announcement, breaking out of its post\u2013Aug. 15 drift above $9.40. The move lifted daily gains past 3%, restoring the token\u2019s double\u2011digit advance over the past week.<\/p>\n<p>Wyoming <a href=\"https:\/\/news.bitcoin.com\/wyoming-becomes-first-state-to-issue-stablecoin-across-7-blockchains-in-historic-move\/\">launched FRNT as a fiat-backed<\/a>, fully reserved digital dollar to support payments and settlement for individuals, businesses, and public-sector entities. In line with a November 2023 recommendation, a Wyoming committee has been deployed across eight public blockchains: Arbitrum, Avalanche, Base, Ethereum, Hedera, Optimism, Polygon, and Solana.<\/p>\n<p>Chainlink CCIP provides cross-chain transfer functionality supported by a defense-in-depth security model.
