Investors retain custody of the assets throughout the process.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen an investor signs up, they\u2019re going to replicate a strategy designed by an institutional investment firm like Bitwise,\u201d Chief Investment Officer Matt Hougan said in a <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/Bitwise\/status\/2092265842666811676?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">video announcing the product<\/a>. \u201cThey hold tokenized stocks in their own personal wallet, and then it automatically follows the strategy that they\u2019ve selected.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The products are available only to non-U.S. persons in eligible jurisdictions outside the United States.<\/p>\n<h2>Bitwise Starts With AI, Robotics and Mega-Cap Themes<\/h2>\n<p>Bitwise said it is launching three initial portfolios. The Mag7X ATP provides equal-weighted exposure to Apple, Microsoft, Nvidia, Alphabet, Amazon, Meta and Tesla, plus SpaceX.<\/p>\n<p>The Robotics ATP focuses on companies developing humanoid robots, autonomous vehicles and warehouse automation, including Tesla, Nvidia and Amazon.<\/p>\n<p>The AI Leaders ATP includes Nvidia, Microsoft, Alphabet, Meta, Amazon, SpaceX, Tesla and Sandisk.<\/p>\n<p>The structure gives Bitwise more flexibility than a <a href=\"https:\/\/markets.bitcoin.com\/glossary\/etf?_gl=1*117m5ri*_ga*MjE1MTQ4MjQ1LjE3NzA5OTgxMTI.*_ga_LKPRS3F1JD*czE3ODc2NTE0MzIkbzYkZzEkdDE3ODc2NTE3NzQkajU5JGwwJGgw*_gcl_au*ODc0NjYyNzQuMTc4NjYyMDA1MA..*_ga_ERLPF60ZDD*czE3ODc2NTE3NzgkbzM0NCRnMCR0MTc4NzY1MTc3OCRqNjAkbDAkaDA.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">conventional ETF<\/a>, which can take months to launch and may be constrained by diversification or fund-design requirements.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor one, you can be more precise. Traditional funds and ETFs often have requirements to hold 10, 20, 30, 40 stocks. What if you want to design a strategy that only has three or four names in it?\u201d Hougan said, adding that the tokenized format can be faster and more responsive to changing markets.<\/p>\n<h2>Tokenized Stocks Blur the Line Between Funds and Wallets<\/h2>\n<p>The bigger distinction is custody.<\/p>\n<p>Unlike an ETF, where investors own shares in a pooled vehicle, ATP users hold the individual tokenized stocks directly. Glider adjusts the portfolio without taking control of the assets.<\/p>\n<p>Hougan said that creates additional possibilities because the securities are designed to trade around the clock, with potential for lending and margin use, where available.<\/p>\n<p>Bitwise framed the launch as a reversal of its earlier strategy. Its ETFs helped bring <a href=\"https:\/\/news.bitcoin.com\/crypto-news\/bitwise-targets-solana-staking-etf-for-first-tokenized-shares\/\">crypto assets into traditional finance<\/a>.
