SOL has climbed roughly 46% this month and is about 80% higher from its June low, pushing its market valuation back toward the $61 billion zone.<\/p>\n<h2>Wall Street Money Starts Chasing Solana<\/h2>\n<p>The move snapped ten consecutive monthly declines and handed solana its strongest month since 2024. But SOL still remains far below its January 2025 all-time high (ATH) near $293, putting August firmly in comeback territory rather than price discovery. SOL would need to climb another 63.5% higher from here to reach ATH.<\/p>\n<p> <iframe src=\"https:\/\/markets.bitcoin.com\/crypto\/solana\/embed\" width=\"100%\" style=\"max-height:500px;height:500px;border:none;overflow:hidden;border-radius:4px\" scrolling=\"no\" title=\"solana market data\"><\/iframe> <\/p>\n<p>One thing is for certain: regulated investment products have supplied a visible bid. U.S. spot solana exchange-traded funds (ETFs) have collected roughly $1.34 billion in cumulative net inflows since launching in October 2025, <a href=\"https:\/\/sosovalue.com\/assets\/etf\/us-sol-spot\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">according to stats from sosovalue.com<\/a>. On Aug. 27, Charles Schwab <a href=\"https:\/\/news.bitcoin.com\/crypto-news\/13t-asset-manager-charles-schwab-adds-3-altcoins-to-its-crypto-push\/\">announced plans to add spot SOL<\/a>, avalanche (AVAX), and chainlink (LINK) to Schwab Crypto in the coming months. Schwab oversees more than $12 trillion in client assets across roughly 39 million brokerage accounts.<\/p>\n<p>Corporate buyers are stepping in too. Defi Development Corp. purchased 19,000 SOL at an average price of $98.14, lifting its holdings to about 2.33 million SOL. Goldman Sachs also disclosed roughly $88 million in Solana ETF exposure in its latest regulatory filing.<\/p>\n<h2>Solana Vote Puts Future Supply in a Squeeze<\/h2>\n<p>Meanwhile, Solana completed its first binding onchain governance vote. <a href=\"https:\/\/news.bitcoin.com\/altcoins\/helius-ceo-secures-last-minute-votes-to-slash-solana-inflation\/\">SGP-0002, dubbed \u201cDouble Disinflation,\u201d<\/a> passed with 67% support from participating stakeholders, barely clearing the required two-thirds threshold.<\/p>\n<p>The change doubles Solana\u2019s annual disinflation rate from 15% to 30%. Put plainly, new SOL will enter circulation at a much slower pace sooner, while the network retains its eventual 1.5% inflation floor. Estimates place the issuance reduction at roughly 18.9 million SOL over six years.<\/p>\n<p>Nothing changes overnight. Developers still have to finish the software work and activate the policy across the network, leaving implementation as the next critical checkpoint for traders tracking Solana\u2019s future supply.<\/p>\n<h2>Record Traffic Pushes Solana\u2019s Limits<\/h2>\n<p>The rally also arrived with heavy network usage. <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/KobeissiLetter\/status\/2092287500970565697?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Kobeissi Letter reported on Aug. 25<\/a> that Solana processed a record 4.2 billion transactions in July, 13.5% above June and roughly 91% higher than December 2025. Solana\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/solana.com\/news\/rent-reduction-deep-dive\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">planned rent reduction<\/a> could eventually slash the deposit required to keep data stored onchain by 90%, reducing costs for developers creating token accounts, non-fungible tokens and tokenized real-world assets.<\/p>\n<h2>September Will Decide Whether SOL\u2019s Rally Has Legs<\/h2>\n<p>At the same time, leverage basically poured gasoline on August\u2019s move, with more than <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coinglass.com\/liquidations\/SOL\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">$16 million in solana short positions<\/a> liquidated during the breakout toward $109, according to Coinglass.com derivatives stats. Forced buying can quickly stretch a rally, but that machinery works just as aggressively when momentum turns south.<\/p>\n<p>September brings the harder test. SOL traders will be watching the first rent reduction, Transaction V1 on Sept. 9, shorter transaction times and progress toward the planned Alpenglow consensus upgrade in October.
