The downtrend picked up when the U.S. Labor Department published the U.S. producer prices at 8:30 a.m., and PPI jumped to 5.4%, hotter than expectations. Alongside this, U.S. President Donald Trump has <a href=\"https:\/\/news.bitcoin.com\/market-updates\/trumps-5000-dividend-plan-fails-to-move-bitcoins-price-past-78k\/\">hinted at $5,000 stimulus checks<\/a> for Americans if Republicans win the midterms in November. By 10:55 a.m., BTC\u2019s price had climbed back above $77,000, but the path of least resistance still appears tilted to the downside.<\/p>\n<h2>Armstrong Says Bitcoin Has Already Found Its Bottom<\/h2>\n<p>Amid all this action, Armstrong <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/keRR34IXo6k?si=UZbx0QoXN0u7bGK7\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">sat down to do an interview<\/a> with Haslinda Amin, and he believes bitcoin has already found its bottom. He expects bitcoin\u2019s price to gradually move higher over the next year or two as the market works its way toward the next halving.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI personally think we\u2019ve seen the bottom of the bitcoin price in this cycle,\u201d the Coinbase boss said during the show. \u201cIt\u2019s going to start to trend up over the coming year or two as we reach the next halving event,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>Armstrong also noted that the crypto industry is no longer entirely dependent on what bitcoin\u2019s price is doing. Even while bitcoin has struggled, Armstrong says other corners of the industry have been growing quickly. \u201cCrypto is much bigger than just bitcoin now. It is updating every aspect of the financial system,\u201d he explained. He further noted that Coinbase is \u201cbullish on stablecoin payments.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Armstrong stated:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s one of the key trends that I\u2019m excited about.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h2>Armstrong Gives Stablecoins, Tokenization, and Prediction Markets Attention<\/h2>\n<p>He also <a href=\"https:\/\/news.bitcoin.com\/finance\/tokenization-threatens-deposit-stability-dallas-fed-researchers-warn\/\">talked about tokenization<\/a> and what he calls \u201cagentic finance\u201d as areas gaining serious traction. The growth in many of the sectors he discussed has become a firm reality, and these innovations are not going away any time soon.
