A Sept. 6 post from the <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/strategystock\/status\/2096707048461271368\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">project\u2019s account<\/a> postured the offering as a real-world asset (RWA) play, laying out its pitch as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>STRATEGY is \u201ca memecoin backed by a RWA.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>MSTR is tokenized on Robinhood, \u201cbacked by over $67B in Bitcoin.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Bitcoin sits underneath as the foundation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The \u201cbacked\u201d assertion here deserves a closer look, as the memecoin is not a claim on Strategy stock. Long.xyz pairs every launch against a Robinhood Stock Token instead of ether or a stablecoin, so as buyers pile in, \u201cthe pool accumulates the stock token.\u201d Anyone buying STRATEGY is effectively paying with tokenized MSTR, which then sits in the pool.<\/p>\n<p>Dexscreener shows about $808,600 in <a href=\"https:\/\/dexscreener.com\/robinhood\/0xa6975f4720a95aa9cdfa9b010a065b0e941534c93f9fa708104c08f0ac029ca0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">total liquidity<\/a>, $691,000 in 24-hour volume and a 28% daily gain, with 1,996 buys against 2,246 sells. Supporters put the MSTR side of the pool at <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/StrategyMaxi\/status\/2099212769077719221\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">more than $362,000<\/a> after 10 days.<\/p>\n<h2>The Plumbing Behind the Meme<\/h2>\n<p>STRATEGY arrived late to a trade that has taken over Robinhood Chain. On Sept. 2, memecoin and Stock Token pairs did $217 million in volume against $127 million in direct Stock Token markets, as Bitcoin.com News reported in its look at the RWA <a href=\"https:\/\/news.bitcoin.com\/featured\/the-new-rwa-meme-coin-meta-has-tradfi-ceos-furious\/\">meme coin meta<\/a>. An earlier Strategy-themed coin, Saylormoon, also paired itself with MSTR.<\/p>\n<p>The chain <a href=\"https:\/\/news.bitcoin.com\/crypto-news\/robinhood-chain-3b-dex-volume-uniswap-uni-burn-1m\/\">posted $3 billion<\/a> in daily decentralized exchange (DEX) volume for the first time that same week, and its <a href=\"https:\/\/news.bitcoin.com\/crypto-news\/cumberland-pons-accumulation-robinhood-chain-launchpad\/\">launchpad token PONS<\/a> carried a market cap near $440 million by Sept. 11. Robinhood\u2019s Stock Tokens counted <a href=\"https:\/\/news.bitcoin.com\/defi\/robinhood-tops-binance-bstocks-with-862800-holders-in-2-months\/\">862,800 holders<\/a> two months after launch.<\/p>\n<h2>Liquidity Creates Demand<\/h2>\n<p>On Sept. 13, Strategy\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Strategy\/status\/2099141687247290384\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">official account posted<\/a>: \u201cLiquidity creates demand. Demand creates liquidity.\u201d The post drew nearly 99,000 views, tagging MSTR. The STRATEGY memecoin account <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/strategystock\/status\/2099190069630214562\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">quoted it hours<\/a> later, arguing that demand for MSTR becomes liquidity for the memecoin and the other way around.<\/p>\n<p>One trader counted about 6,000 mentions of the token <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/0xmakerlee\/status\/2099257600101556411\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">over seven days<\/a> against 14,500 for MSTR, setting a $6 million market cap next to MSTR\u2019s $51 billion. Another influencer <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MYC_NETWORK\/status\/2099269401921077498\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">told followers<\/a> not to wait \u201cunless you wanna buy the dip at 500m mc,\u201d a figure roughly 70 times the current valuation.<\/p>\n<p>Strategy reported <a href=\"https:\/\/news.bitcoin.com\/crypto-news\/saylor-fires-176m-at-strc-as-strategy-doubles-buyback-war-chest\/\">845,050 BTC<\/a> and $6.5 billion in U.S. dollar assets as of Sept. 7. At a bitcoin price near $77,600, that stack is worth about $65.5 billion, a little under the $67 billion in the token\u2019s pitch. Anything built on MSTR, memecoins included, still rides on bitcoin\u2019s price.<\/p>\n<h2>The Copycats Showed up on Schedule<\/h2>\n<p>Within nine days of launch, the name had been cloned. A separate STRATEGY token <a href=\"https:\/\/dexscreener.com\/solana\/f2nuknxwyaxi5aaiqngtsywfh745kxye9ubbyczv2rby\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">on Solana<\/a>, created Sept. 13, showed a $5.26 million market cap and a 24-hour gain of 12,595%.
