Add up every bracket from $2 trillion upward and the total lands at 65.5%.<\/p>\n<p>A <a href=\"https:\/\/polymarket.com\/event\/what-will-anthropics-ipo-valuation-be\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">different contract<\/a> asks what Anthropic will be worth at its IPO price, before a single share trades. There, the favorite is $1.75 trillion to $2 trillion at 43.5%, and the odds of pricing at $2 trillion or more add up to just 35.3%.<\/p>\n<p>Nvidia is in talks to become an anchor investor in the offering, potentially putting in up to $10 billion, Reuters <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/legal\/transactional\/nvidia-talks-invest-anthropics-mega-ipo-sources-say-2026-09-11\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">reported on Friday<\/a>. Anthropic is seeking as much as $100 billion at a valuation of about $2 trillion and is expected to list before the November midterm elections. One version of the report put the target as high as $2.3 trillion. The discussions are preliminary, and <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/unusual_whales\/status\/2099332558916067563\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">terms could change<\/a> at any time, a source told Unusual Whales.<\/p>\n<p>Anthropic has also committed to 1 gigawatt of compute capacity on Nvidia\u2019s Grace Blackwell and Vera Rubin systems.<\/p>\n<h2>What Buyers Would Be Paying For<\/h2>\n<p>Anthropic told shareholders its adjusted operating income will be <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/business\/retail-consumer\/anthropic-tells-investors-it-will-be-profitable-second-straight-quarter-ft-2026-09-13\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">positive for a second straight quarter<\/a>, with gross margins above 80% before revenue shared with partners such as Amazon and the cost of training models.<\/p>\n<p>Anthropic\u2019s annualized revenue run rate reached <a href=\"https:\/\/news.bitcoin.com\/finance\/no-anthropic-stock-exists-but-crypto-traders-just-priced-it-at-2t\/\">about $65 billion<\/a> by July, and its May funding round valued the company at $965 billion. The company <a href=\"https:\/\/news.bitcoin.com\/anthropic-files-confidential-s-1-with-sec-targets-ipo-at-965b-valuation\/\">filed confidentially<\/a> for its IPO on June 1.<\/p>\n<h2>The Odds Already Cooled<\/h2>\n<p>From the outside looking in, the $2 trillion-plus total stood at 46.2% on Aug. 14, subsequently jumped to 74% by Aug. 26 and was still at 73.8% on Sept. 10, per Polymarket\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/polymarket.com\/event\/anthropic-ipo-closing-market-cap-higher-strikes\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">price history<\/a>. It has since slipped to 65.5%, with the Nvidia report landing in between.<\/p>\n<p>Timing odds have moved too, as the chance of an <a href=\"https:\/\/polymarket.com\/event\/in-which-month-will-anthropic-ipo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">October listing<\/a> stood near 87% on Sept. 4 and now sits at 61%, with November at about 21%.<\/p>\n<p>OpenAI CEO Sam Altman <a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2026\/09\/12\/openais-sam-altman-says-it-would-be-ill-advised-to-go-public-in-2026\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">said last week<\/a> that \u201cright now would be an ill-advised moment to go public,\u201d ruling out a 2026 listing for his company.
