The split is expected to become effective before trading begins on Sept. 30. ZCSH will continue trading on NYSE Arca under the same ticker.<\/p>\n<p>The economics do not change. An investor holding one share before the split will own three afterward, with each representing roughly one-third of the previous net asset value per share.<\/p>\n<p>As of Sept. 17, Grayscale\u2019s ZCSH had seen net inflows of $232.3 million since its launch on Aug. 25.<\/p>\n<h2>Lower Share Price Could Broaden Access<\/h2>\n<p>The immediate impact is mechanical: ZCSH\u2019s share price should fall proportionately while the number of outstanding shares rises. It began as the Zcash Investment Trust and later became the first publicly quoted Zcash fund in 2021.<\/p>\n<p>In a <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/CraigSalm\/status\/2092590537341628434\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">thread on X<\/a>, he highlighted the protocol\u2019s privacy model, noting that Zcash uses zero-knowledge proofs to conceal transaction details while supporting selective disclosure for compliance purposes.<\/p>\n<h2>Privacy Crypto Gets a Traditional-Market Wrapper<\/h2>\n<p>That distinction matters because privacy has historically been one of the more difficult areas of <a href=\"https:\/\/news.bitcoin.com\/market-updates\/privacy-coins-outrun-bitcoin-as-market-rotates-into-zcash-and-monero\/\">crypto for regulated institutions<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Salm said bringing Zcash into public markets required \u201cmore regulatory engagement than usual\u201d because of its privacy-preserving features. Grayscale is also directing 100% of ZCSH management fees toward Zcash ecosystem development and marketing for the fund.<\/p>\n<p>The share split will not change ZCSH\u2019s fundamentals.
