That is 50.4% of the token\u2019s $183.7 billion supply and about $19 billion more than Ethereum\u2019s share. Bitcoin.com News reported last month that Tron had crossed the line to settle <a href=\"https:\/\/news.bitcoin.com\/crypto-news\/tron-surpasses-400-million-accounts\/\">over half of all circulating USDT<\/a>, and the lead has held.<\/p>\n<p>The growth over 12 months has been real, with total stablecoins on Tron climbing from $76.6 billion on Sept. 24, 2025, to $94.0 billion this week, a 22.6% gain. Over the same period, daily transactions <a href=\"https:\/\/tronscan.org\/data\/charts\/txn\/daily-txn\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">went from 9.54 million to 11.35 million<\/a>, and daily active accounts from 3.01 million to 4.30 million.<\/p>\n<p>However, daily USDT transfers slipped from 2.43 million to 2.26 million year on year, even as the USDT float grew by billions.<\/p>\n<h2>So Why Is TRX Flat?<\/h2>\n<p>Because the $30 trillion counts dollars changing hands, not demand for TRX itself. A USDT transfer on Tron needs TRX-linked resources to pay for the transaction, but the value moving is a stablecoin pegged at $1.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bitcoin.com\/price\/tron\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">result shows up on TRX\u2019s chart<\/a>, which shows the token currently trading at $0.34, up just 0.1% from a year ago and barely above the $0.3360 it traded about 30 days ago.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>That said, a flat year is not the worst result in this market because over the past year, many other prominent assets have dipped substantially. For instance, bitcoin\u2019s price currently sits around $84,400, down about 22.8% over the same 12 months. Measured against BTC, holding TRX was the better trade, even though its own price chart barely moved.<\/p>\n<p>The network is also working on bigger-picture upgrades, including a <a href=\"https:\/\/news.bitcoin.com\/justin-sun-unveils-tron-post-quantum-plan-as-crypto-security-debate-grows\/\">post-quantum security plan<\/a> that Sun unveiled this year. The open question for TRX holders now is whether that infrastructure story ever reaches (and potentially spurs) the token\u2019s price.
