But the bitcoin purchase was only part of Monday\u2019s announcement, which also revealed a $192.4 million repurchase of Strategy\u2019s STRC preferred shares.<\/p>\n<h2>Strategy\u2019s Bitcoin Treasury Reaches 848,250 BTC<\/h2>\n<p>On Monday, Oct. 12, 2026, Strategy disclosed that it acquired 250 BTC between Oct. 5 and Oct. 11 at an average price of $86,194 per coin, including fees and expenses.<\/p>\n<p>The acquisition brings Strategy\u2019s cumulative bitcoin investment to approximately $64 billion, with an average acquisition price of $75,444 per BTC. <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/saylor\/status\/2109615811954630703?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Saylor shared the news<\/a> with his 5.2 million X followers, writing:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cStrategy has acquired 250 BTC and repurchased $192M of STRC. As of 10\/11\/26, we hold 848,250 BTC and $5.5B of USD Assets. USD Duration is 3.5 yrs and STRC\u2019s BTC Credit is 52 bps assuming 10% BTC ARR, 40% BTC Vol, and a BTC price of $82,252.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The company\u2019s latest regulatory disclosure shows that $21 million of the bitcoin purchase was financed through proceeds from selling 125,183 shares of MSTR common stock. Another $500,000 came from existing cash.<\/p>\n<h2>Strategy Repurchases $192.4 Million in STRC Shares<\/h2>\n<p>Beyond <a href=\"https:\/\/news.bitcoin.com\/learning-insights\/bitcoin-behemoths-strategy-ibit-amass-1-65-million-btc-worth-140b\/\">accumulating bitcoin<\/a>, Strategy repurchased 1,932,145 shares of its variable-rate Series A perpetual Stretch preferred stock, known as STRC, for approximately $192.4 million. The company reported that $354.8 million remains available under its preferred stock repurchase program.<\/p>\n<p>As of Oct. 11, Strategy held $4.88 billion in its U.S. dollar reserve alongside $640.5 million in additional cash.
