[Bitcoin] will march forward from here.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The Strategy executive chairman did not attach a date to the $100,000 call, but was clear about the long run, expecting bitcoin to grow 20% to 30% a year over the next two decades and stressed that he is not a short-term trader.<\/p>\n<p>Saylor said trade, foreign and monetary policy had weighed on the price earlier in the cycle while listing <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/LarkDavis\/status\/2110151441658601838\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">four forces now pushing the other way<\/a>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A favorable regulatory environment.<\/li>\n<li>Accelerating bank adoption.<\/li>\n<li>The growth of tokenized securities.<\/li>\n<li>Strengthening digital credit networks.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>He also pointed out that bitcoin briefly slipped below its 200-week moving average before bouncing back to a 25% premium.<\/p>\n<p>Saylor leaned on artificial intelligence (AI) for part of his pitch, stating that investors will increasingly look for assets that robots \u201ccan\u2019t make more of,\u201d a group in which he places bitcoin, which he called \u201cthe king of commodities.\u201d In a post <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/saylor\/status\/2110063356262469912\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">promoting the interview<\/a>, he wrote:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Bitcoin is raw financial energy. Strategy transforms it into Digital Credit.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Saylor also brushed off political risk. \u201cIt doesn\u2019t matter who gets elected in 2028,\u201d he said, as long as crypto delivers products people love, <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/CoinMarketCap\/status\/2110202441413070860\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">adding,<\/a> \u201cyou\u2019ll pry those magic products from people\u2019s cold dead fingers.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2>Strategy Is Aligning Itself as a Structured Finance Company<\/h2>\n<p>The interview also addressed an uncomfortable topic for Strategy loyalists, i.e. the company\u2019s decision to sell bitcoin this year. Saylor said its <a href=\"https:\/\/news.bitcoin.com\/strategy-sells-bitcoin-for-first-time-dumps-32-btc-to-fund-preferred-stock-dividends\/\">first sale of 32 BTC<\/a> drew a strong reaction, while later sales of thousands of coins did not stop the market from rising. He argued that Strategy should be viewed as a structured finance company that moves among equity, cash, credit and bitcoin as conditions change.<\/p>\n<p>The selling is not the plan going forward and Saylor said Strategy likely acquired more bitcoin than any other company this year, and he expects the company to keep <a href=\"https:\/\/panews.io\/articles\/01a136b9-8fdd-73d7-840e-0d7bcb6674a1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">increasing its holdings<\/a> during the bull market by issuing more credit-type securities. The firm now holds 848,250 BTC after a <a href=\"https:\/\/news.bitcoin.com\/crypto-news\/strategy-buys-more-bitcoin-and-retires-nearly-2m-strc-shares\/\">fresh 250 BTC purchase<\/a> disclosed on Oct. 12.<\/p>\n<p>He also pointed to Strategy\u2019s track record since its first bitcoin buy in August 2020. Over that stretch, bitcoin has climbed about 38% a year, while Strategy\u2019s MSTR stock has returned about 52% to 53% a year, Saylor said.<\/p>\n<h2>The Hurdles in Front of the Call<\/h2>\n<p>Bitcoin is trading near $83,900 earlier today and <a href=\"https:\/\/news.bitcoin.com\/price-predictions\/bitcoin-price-odds-on-prediction-markets-give-100k-just-27\/\">prediction markets give a $100K target<\/a> just 27% odds.<\/p>\n<p>Strategy also faces a test this week unrelated to bitcoin\u2019s price, as MSCI will announce by Oct. 16 whether it will adopt new eligibility rules that could <a href=\"https:\/\/news.bitcoin.com\/crypto-news\/saylor-strikes-back-strategy-slams-mscis-flawed-index-test\/\">push Strategy out<\/a> of its global equity indexes. JPMorgan has estimated that <a href=\"https:\/\/coincentral.com\/bitcoin-btc-price-climbs-toward-84000-as-saylor-says-the-bottom-is-in\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">roughly $2.8 billion<\/a> in flows could be at risk if Strategy is excluded. Saylor <a href=\"https:\/\/panews.io\/articles\/01a136b9-8fdd-73d7-840e-0d7bcb6674a1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">called MSCI\u2019s stance<\/a> disappointing and said he hopes the
