The broader partnership also includes plans to integrate Chainlink\u2019s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP), although that component was not included in the latest launch announcement.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Stellar network\u2019s adoption of Chainlink as its data infrastructure unlocks a new generation of DeFi and tokenized asset applications across its ecosystem,\u201d said Chainlink Labs Chief Business Officer Johann Eid, in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>Raja Chakravorti, chief business officer at the Stellar Development Foundation, emphasized that issuing tokenized assets represents only the first stage of developing blockchain-based financial markets.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTokenization is only the beginning,\u201d Chakravorti said, adding that institutional-scale markets require dependable systems for pricing, execution, and asset movement.<\/p>\n<p>The integration comes as blockchain networks compete to attract financial institutions and developers seeking to bring <a href=\"https:\/\/news.bitcoin.com\/defi\/tokenized-rwas-hit-46-7b-as-ethereum-holds-nearly-half-the-market\/\">traditional financial assets onchain<\/a>. Stellar has established a presence in tokenized assets and payments, but expanding their usefulness within DeFi could help attract additional liquidity and applications.<\/p>\n<p>For Stellar, the latest development is an effort to transform its <a href=\"https:\/\/dune.com\/stellar\/rwas\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">growing inventory<\/a> of tokenized assets into a more
