Armada\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/news.bitcoin.com\/featured\/evernorth-won-shareholder-vote-putting-473-million-xrp-near-nasdaq\/\">shareholder vote approving the proposed merger<\/a> on Sept. 30 preceded the Oct. 9 closing.<\/p>\n<p>Management\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/news.bitcoin.com\/featured\/xrp-gaining-nasdaq-exposure-as-evernorth-takes-473m-xrp-public\/\">active XRP treasury strategy<\/a> seeks to increase XRP holdings per share through institutional investment strategies, decentralized finance, ecosystem participation, and capital markets activities. XRP per share measures token holdings relative to outstanding stock, making changes in the share count relevant alongside growth in the treasury\u2019s total assets.<\/p>\n<p>Investment oversight rests with <a href=\"https:\/\/news.bitcoin.com\/featured\/former-coinbase-investment-chief-now-manages-evernorths-473m-xrp\/\">Chief Investment Officer Hugo Jeandesboz<\/a>, a former Coinbase Asset Management co-chief investment officer who reports to Birla. His responsibilities span allocation, liquidity management, active treasury management, and relationships with trading counterparties and custodians.<\/p>\n<h2>Evernorth Names Ripple, Kraken, Coinbase, and Bitgo as Deployment Partners<\/h2>\n<p>The ceremony coincided with Evernorth\u2019s Oct. 14 announcement of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.globenewswire.com\/news-release\/2026\/10\/14\/3380648\/0\/en\/evernorth-to-begin-deploying-from-473-million-xrp-treasury-with-ripple-kraken-coinbase-and-bitgo.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ripple, Kraken, Coinbase, and Bitgo as institutional execution partners<\/a>. The company plans to accumulate XRP and deploy treasury assets into institutional strategies beginning in the fourth quarter. Its initial phase will use established counterparties under the oversight of Evernorth\u2019s investment and risk team.<\/p>\n<p>Expansion into <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bitcoin.com\/get-started\/defi-and-web3\/basics-dapps\/what-is-defi-decentralized-finance\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">decentralized finance<\/a> would involve financial activity conducted through blockchain-based systems, including lending and trading applications. Evernorth intends to allocate capital directly to XRP Ledger markets as native lending and credit capabilities are activated by validators and demonstrated in production.
